of my namesake

I just found out that yesterday was my grandfather’s birthday. He was born in 1920 and would have been 88.

He died in November 1942…  two months before my dad was born.

I wonder what he was like.   I know my dad does, too.

  1. Names are so important. My daughters are both named after important women in my life. I think there is a power in them. I bet that there is him in you and it was transfered via blood and the power of the name.

  2. So he was 22 in ’42 … I’m guessing he died somewhere overseas?
